What HR Business Partners contributes to Cardinal Health

The Director HR Business Partner of Manufacturing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans focused on human capital management, including a strong focus on talent management, coaching, culture and change which correlates to driving business performance.  The role will have oversight for 7 Manufacturing sites in Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico supporting more than 9000 employees in the region, also responsible for integration activities in the Latin America region in partnership with CAH HR Operations. 

  • Effectively balances business partner responsibility with employee advocacy, fosters a positive culture and high performing work environment.
  • Oversight for Medtronics and Cordis Day 2 integration activities in the Latin America region; effectively partners with CAH HR Operations/Services to achieve desired outcomes

    • Organizational design and structure
  • Serves as a change agent/leader and curator of culture
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Expertise to execute enterprise-wide programs and solutions that advance the business
  • Develops and implements plans and actions to improve employee engagement and leadership effectiveness
  • Supports leaders as strategist, coach, change agent, curator of culture and architect.
  • Champions and supports Human Resources service delivery processes.
  • Understands and utilizes technology to efficiently deliver HR systems and help people stay connected to each other.

  • Provide strategic and operational HR partnership to several VPs of Supply Chain, Plant Directors and Managers in the region
  • Has oversight for HR across multiple manufacturing plants lead a HR team of 60 HR professionals
  • Ensure business and HR strategies are effectively and consistently executed
  • Must be willing to travel frequently to the region as well as domestically


  • Bachelors and Advanced Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 12+ years’ experience in a variety of HR practice areas with a strong spike in HR business partnering
  • Medical Device/Healthcare experience strongly preferred in a manufacturing/plant environment
  • Must be bi-lingual, Spanish 100% required
  • Prior leadership experience with considerable number of direct reports
  • Multi-site experience in Global companies
  • Lean Manufacturing and global processes required
  • Must reside in Cd. Juarez, Mexico or El Paso Texas
