Director of Pharmacy

As a Cardinal Health Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required PharmD preferred
  • Must be a “good standing” licensed Pharmacist and eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia
  • Recent hospital pharmacy management experience
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve customer/employee problems or conflicts to meet the needs of external and internal customers
  • Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation
  • Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.
  • Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals
  • Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills
  • Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills
  • Pressure to perform in emergency situations
