What Data Governance contributes to Cardinal Health
Data Governance is responsible for the disciplined execution of governance programs and practices across all data.
- Applies knowledge and ability to define and/or operate against the vision/strategy of data and governance
- Demonstrates an understanding of data governance modeling, tools, and practices

Accountabilities
The Advisor, Data Governance will be responsible for advancing and maturing data governance capabilities across the enterprise. Primary focus will be on Product Master Data for the Medical Segment. The Advisor, Data Governance will act as a change agent and work with Data Governance Leadership to:
- Gather and transform data as needed to assist data remediation activities
- Document and maintain reference data requirements by sub-domain to assist data remediation
- Assist data remediation team in conducting impact analysis, and maintaining a governed artifact of said impact analysis
- Contribute to scoping and execution of data remediation efforts aligned to business goals
- Create, maintain, and validate documentation of data flows and diagrams to show the movement of data across systems
- Assist remediation team in preparation of artifacts for iterative data remediation cycles
- Assist in identifying automation and advanced analytics opportunities to accelerate remediation efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- 4+ years experience in related field preferred
- Experience in data management, or analytics leveraging data science or data visualization tools
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Knowledge of Cardinal Heath business processes and systems preferred
- Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
