Automation Developer

What Global Infrastructure Services DevOps contributes to Cardinal Health

  • Configures and enhances automation solutions that bring efficiency to infrastructure activity, relationships and inventory.
  • Consults with server, desktop, network, database and application teams, to enrich and enable IT functions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of infrastructure technologies and protocols, across multiple platforms, and in multiple levels of the technology stack.
  • Configures and enhances automation solutions used for IT operations.
  • Provides services to enable the maintenance, health and protection of hardware and software assets.
  • Provides leadership and assists with the development and implementation of automation strategy.
  • Builds and deploys automation solutions of a moderate to high level of complexity.
  • Follows corporate standards to implement automation platforms and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Proficiency with both Ansible, Python and/or Go
  • Understanding of multiple data center infrastructure technologies such as server virtualization, storage, network, security, middleware, and database
  • Experience with Software Development Methodologies
  • Experience with security best practices
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Recommended experience/competency in multiple infrastructure application technology domains preferred
  • Provides technical leadership in one or more areas preferred
  • Seen as team 'expert' preferred
