Qualifications

What is expected of you and others at this level
- Daily management of responsibilities related to the analysis and reporting of improvement projects. TRACtion
- Analysis of current manufacturing costs and preparation of periodic reports for review
- Preparation of weekly and monthly MUV generation, absorption, scrap, and cut-off analyses
- Actual costs vs. standard costs (Materials, Labor, and Overhead)
- Analysis of the relationship between Bill of Materials, routes, and cost centers
- Conduct audits of excess and obsolete materials
- Implementation, recording, review, and correction of code structures
- Conduct audits of cycle counts
- Costing of new products
- Monthly closing process (BnB, VIPs, MUV, MPR)
- Assist the controller with physical inventory responsibilities
- Validation of material rates and labor overhead
- Verification of costs by SKU at the beginning of the fiscal year
- Support with monthly closing
- Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
- Participate in annual budget and quartile forecasts.
- Support the Controller in calculating construction costs and assigning these to the budget at the beginning of each fiscal year.
- Involvement in Cardinal Health's Values and Ethics.
- Support compliance with the Quality System and Policy.
- Ensure that all employees understand both emergency procedures and hazard reporting procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring employees are familiar with EHS procedures and policies specific to their area, e.g., PPE requirements, emergency response procedures, etc.
- Communicate and implement EHS activities in support of the objectives and goals of the annual EHS plan.
- Demonstrate EHS leadership by participating in Kaizen events and EHS Subcommittees, leading incident investigation teams, participating in internal EHS inspections and audits, and ensuring effective EHS training.
- Communicate unresolved EHS issues and the status of goals.
- Encourage employees to be involved in EHS activities.
- Follow up on employee EHS concerns until issues are resolved.
- Implement and enforce EHS procedures and policies uniformly and consistently.
- Hold direct reports accountable for EHS performance.
- Measure employee performance and praise them for positive behavior and EHS results.
- Promptly mentor and counsel employees who engage in unsafe behavior.
- Celebrate success as EHS goals are achieved or actions are taken.
- Authorities:
- Require that all EHS procedures and policies be uniformly and consistently reinforced.
- Require EHS review for new or modified processes, procedures, or contractor work.
- Stop work if an employee or contractor performing the work could suffer a serious injury or environmental incident.
- Require disciplinary action in accordance with internal policies when EHS procedures are not followed.
