  • The position is located in Dublin, OH
  • Leads a large organization of FTE’s and contractors
  • Includes responsibility for the following organizations:
    • EIT Project Management Offices – Shared Services and Segment
    • Office of Development Transformation
    • FDA software validation and quality assurance


  • Responsible for playing a critical role in realizing business value through the application of best practices in project management and application development knowledge, skills, tools and techniques.
  • Lead and own Cardinal Health’s project/program management methodologies, practices, tool sets and processes to create greater effectiveness and improve outcomes against a rapidly changing business environment
  • Accountability for the visibility and escalation of issues related to budget, risk management, schedule and scope
  • Proactively work with senior leadership to identify and prioritize strategic IT initiatives and ensure delivery of desired outcomes and business value
  • Design and execute an organizational strategy that supports our EIT transformation to lean, agile, cloud
  • Create a centralized PMO for EIT projects and programs that optimize COE practices and engagement models to achieve lower costs and more effective use of resources
  • Provide governance and enforce standards and tools used for projects or products managed within solution owner teams
  • Lead the Office of Development Transformation to propel adoption of lean and agile practices via assessments, coaching and standard work practices
  • Drive definition and delivery of strategic programs and complex projects under both waterfall and agile, including scaled agile approaches i.e SAFe, methods
  • Provide oversight/governance of IT programs and projects and drive execution to ensure on time, on budget and quality delivery
  • Engage in active governance of programs and projects. Drive resolution related to critical escalations.
  • Serve as an influential and effective critic to all key stakeholders from inception of project/program to delivery. Ensure solutions are complete and drive accountability.
  • Develop capability through development and adherence to standardized work practices, methodologies and artifacts
  • Directly and indirectly manage and develop a large team of program/project management resources – drive engagement and support talent development.
  • Provide visibility and change management support to drive awareness and successful implementation across inter-related workstreams
  • Provide organizational change management
  • Provide leadership to team responsible for FDA software validation and quality assurance


  • Bachelor's and Advanced degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years experience in related field
  • Prior supervisory experience


  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, large-scale programs involving multiple workstreams, vendors, and delivery dates
  • Strong problem solving skills – effective at creative solutions and removing barriers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to challenge status quo to find optimal solutions
  • Expertise in IT project financial management and organizational change management
  • Experience with leading, coaching and developing large teams
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and key stakeholders
