This position sits in our Cordis medical device facility in Milpitas.

SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities are to perform a daily differential pressure readings of the Main CER and HPA pass-thru materials, check the equipment on the roof and utilities pads and maintain the cleanliness of facility during normal business hours, be responsible for installation, repair ,maintenance and problem resolution for a wide variety of facility systems and equipment related to office, laboratory and Cleanroom production operations..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ensure designated areas of the facility are clean and safe from basic hazards
  • Work with outside service providers that support our facility
  • Maintain and perform PM on equipment and eye wash stations
  • Support of all departments on set up of all activities on site (picnic, training, all hands)
  • Removal of Hazard Waste from pass –thru windows and waste containers
  • Perform HVAC duties (Installation of ductwork, thermostats, Belts, contactors)
  • Assist on new installation of electrical wiring
  • Ensure consumable supplies are maintained in restrooms and break areas
  • Assist Facilities staff with movement of equipment and furnishings
  • Assist Facilities staff with installation of new equipment
  • Maintain inventory and order janitorial supplies from vendor
  • Participate in required training
  • Serve as the primary response person for all types of facility related emergencies
  • Support the EH&S team and functions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge, skills & abilities:
    • Must possess effective communication skills with the ability to work independently
    • Must be organized
    • Must know how to read floor plans.
    • Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and an excellent work ethic
    • Diligence and an understanding of liability issues and personal and/or public injury related to satisfactory completion of the above listed duties a must
  • Minimum experience:
  • minimum of 3 years’ work experience with HVAC systems, Air Compressors and Clean Room facility maintenance
  • Hands on experience with troubleshooting issues and make repairs with HVAC, electrical 480 volts 3 phase, 208 volts 1 Phase and plumbing (automatic Flush meters experience a must)
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Duties require significant physical effort, including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing ladders, including ladders for building roof access

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work includes potential exposure to human bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.

    Work includes potential exposure to radiation sources such as fluoroscope in a catheter laboratory setting.

    Work includes potential exposure to chemicals.
