What Account Management - Med Dev contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.

Accountabilities in this role

The Account Manager is responsible for selling our complete portfolio of products. Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, the Account Manager is accountable for sales results within targeted (acute and post-acute) facilities. The Account Manager is responsible for selling products based on features and benefits, and for driving market share growth.

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing positive, collaborative relationships with clinical care providers and key buying influencers, including Purchasing Managers, Physicians, WOCNs, Discharge Planners and other clinicians within the continuum of care, as well as targeted customers in the Acute, Alternate Site, and other healthcare settings.

In addition to the sales functions of the assigned geography, the Account Manager will perform multiple functions related to product readiness for patient utilization. The Account Manager will provide delivery, removal and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. Performance of minor repairs and routine parts exchange will be expected.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Min 2 years related sales experience
  • 2-3 years of medical or healthcare industry sales with a track record in the growing and sustaining of business relationships and generating revenue
  • Working knowledge of healthcare facilities and how to communicate, influence, negotiate, and mediate effectively with various levels of healthcare facility staff
  • Ability to travel
  • Valid driver's license
