Job Title: Warehouse Operations Supervisor 2nd Shift
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities in this role:
?Responsible for the daily scheduling of the work force to insure proper staffing to achieve timely distribution and receipt of product and motivate employees to ensure safety and predetermined quality and productivity standards are achieved.
?Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean work environment for employees.
?Responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.
?Responsible for managing a team of 20+ people.
?Responsible for supervising all daily activities of warehouse operations.
?Executes all policies and procedures of warehouse operations.
?Interacts on a daily basis with subordinates, customers, and peer groups.
?Maintain positive employee relations.
?Hold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner, ensure that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform distribution functions and provide support for a culture that
?Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse operation. Activities include receiving, put away, replenishment, restocking, counts, product location, order selection, shipping, etc.
?Generates warehouse productivity reports in regard to production and accounts for all labor hours.
?Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the warehouse operation. ?Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling and completion of performance appraisals.
?Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals.
?Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to the Site Operations Manager to increase production operation efficiency and efficient space utilization. ?Ensures that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained.
?Completes detailed accurate performance evaluations of Day Shift warehouse personnel.
?Develop and implement modifications and innovations to improve the quality of service to our customers.
?Drives continuous improvement in Environmental, Health and Safety.
?Maintain general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, through oral and written warnings; insure a productive work climate within the Distribution Center
?Ensure that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained.
?Adhere to budget requirements and work toward meeting objectives and division goals
?Ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand.
?Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and
services. ?Prepares ad hoc reports as necessary.
?Work on and completes special projects identified.
•High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
•3-5 years distribution experience required.
•At least1-3 year’s supervisory experience strongly preferred.
•Strong communication and leadership skills required.
•Leadership experience preferred
•Strong skills in Microsoft Office preferred.
•Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift weights up to 50 pounds on a regular basis required.
•Lean Six Sigma experience preferred. •Experience with managing large teams (20+ people)
Hours and days: Work 4x10 come in 30 minutes to an hour before the scheduled night shift staff to get everything ready and in order for Order Picking to begin. So approximately 2:30 PM- 3:00 PM Start time and shift ends when everything is completed for the day.
