Why Is This Role Critical?

The Vice President, Market Operations is a senior leader of a market and will have responsibility overseeing the delivery of services to a specific market and client. This is a senior leader who needs to have both operational experience overseeing medical costs and care management processes, but who also needs the ability to build strong relationships with client organizations with an exceptionally high service ethic. The General Manager is ultimately accountable for the local P&L and medical cost performance, and as such will need to be able to analyze data and identify trends, determine root cause issues, develop work plans, organize cross-functional teams and develop quality output for internal and external constituents. There are significant growth opportunities beyond local market management in this growing organization, as well, and strong performance in this role could lead to continued growth into responsibility over multiple markets.

What you will be accountable for….

  • The Vice President, Market Operations (VP) is ultimately accountable for the overall financial, operational and quality performance for the care management organization for a given market
  • Responsible for:
    • Oversight of a Clinical Manager (manager responsible for the clinical team), Network Manager (manager responsible for all provider relationships) and clinical team
    • Development and execution of key strategic initiatives within a market. These initiatives will include quality, cost and service metrics, assisting clients with product and service expansion
    • Successful financial performance including overseeing and working with the Senior / Regional VP of Operations, COO, CMO, CFO in managing the development of operational metrics, budgets and the clinical program performance
    • Providing leadership and direction (with Clinical Manager) for all market-level care management staff to ensure maximum colleague engagement and productivity
    • Fostering and developing the naviHealth culture among staff and physicians and foster an atmosphere of engagement, trust and open dialogue
  • Developing the skills of the local care management team in order to build talent in the organization and ensure that they have the tools and skill sets to execute their operating plans
  • Ensuring strict compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies, procedures and processes
  • Client relationship and face of naviHealth in a particular market

What you will need to be successful in this role….

  • Leadership experience in a clinical operations environment with the ability to manage a P&L.
  • Strong focus on culture and employee engagement
  • History of building and implementing service models that add value to physician practices.
  • Proven ability to interact with and influence clients at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset geared toward the creation, execution and continuous improvement of a new function from the ground up.
  • Intense intellectual curiosity and an ability to view old problems with a fresh perspective.
  • Ability to attract, manage and develop staff of superlative quality
  • Excellent written, computer, and oral communication skills.
  • 8 years+ of management experience within clinical operations.
