What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations Management is responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.
What is expected of you and others at this level in Operations for functional success
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the warehouse including the technical and production staff
Oversee Warehouse Supervisors, including performance, development, and coaching
Sets priorities for the workforce to ensure task completion and coordinates work activities with Supervisors
Achieves in-depth knowledge of operating systems and programs; work processes and equipment
Applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems
Makes decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, by carefully analyzing data, weighing pros and cons and acting for the benefit of the business and the team; coaches/supports subordinates in their decision-making efforts

Accountabilities in this role
Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, verbal and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the warehouse operation.
Develop, implement and maintain all EHS processes, documentation and systems related to the facility.
Advises and counsel facility management on a broad range of EHS issues while providing technical support on regulatory requirements, permitting, recordkeeping, reporting, etc.
Provide technical support for the facility EHS committee and subcommittees
Develop, implement and ensure maintenance of Company and facility-specific EHS Management Systems, EHS Policies, EHS Programs and Procedures
Review all proposed facility process, layout and equipment changes; make necessary recommendations to facility management to minimize adverse EH&S impacts.
Develop, implement and conduct Employee EHS Training
Serve as main contact/liaison between facility and regulatory agencies.
Participate in investigation of all injuries, illnesses and environmental releases; ensure appropriate corrective actions are completed and documented in a timely manner.
Lead facility staff in completion of facility EHS Risk Assessment, Job Hazard Analysis and SPI. Develop, implement, and oversee action plans to eliminate hazards and minimize risks
Manage all EHS Audit and Inspection findings and ensure effective corrective actions and closure
Measure and communicate EHS performance against goals and objectives
Manage the facility's Workers Compensation and WorkCare programs to minimize claims and control costs
Conduct EHS Inspections and Assessments as needed to measure effectiveness and implementation of facility EHS programs
Assist in development and implement of modifications and innovations to improve the quality of service to our customers
Timely completion of EHS Reports using Pulse and other software programs
Participate in weekly EHS Division Conference Calls and EHS Seminars / Trainings as needed
Maintain positive teamwork culture and employee relations.
Work on special projects as needed
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5-7 years related experience
Strong communication skills
Proven Leadership and Supervisory Skills
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred OSHA Regulatory Compliance Experience
Accountability, Ownership and Customer Focus
Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
