What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health

Inside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. The sales cycles will tend to be simple and short-term in nature and may or may not lead to a long term customer relationship. Can sometimes be viewed as cold calling, telesales.

Position/Team Overview

The Inside Sales- Medical Device department works with various manufacturer and vendor partners to receive and process orders daily. The orders are worked full scope with in our team; including communications with insurance companies, patients/caretakers, physicians, and referral partners. The team is measured on various metrics including achieving conversion % goals as well as overall revenue. The supervisor’s role within the team consists of consistent communication via one on one meetings, team meetings, daily rep role/responsibility communications, effective feedback, recognizing and rewarding behaviors, as well as handling any escalated patient situations to resolution. The supervisor is also available to support the team through flexing to cover daily responsibilities when needed. An understanding and open involvement in daily operational activities of the team is needed to achieve this objective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 2 years healthcare sales experience, managerial/supervisor experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time
  • Strong planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and team building abilities
