MED EIT Organization has a new budgeted role for a Software Engineer. This new associate will be located in the Parkwood location in Dublin, Ohio
Provide functional support to the new Global Supply Chain (GSC) landscape, focusing on inventory planning.
Works with business on requirements gathering and designs solutions per the standards
Conduct Development to support knowledge transitions into IBP (Integrated Business Planning) tool
Lead onsite and offshore team in day to day activities concerning the IT support
Responsible for client communication and analyze the requirements for future releases
Research day to day issues and instruct the offshore/onsite teams for timely resolution
Perform root cause analysis on issues
Collaborate with other EIT teams as needed in performing the support activities
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
4+ years experience in related field preferred
Working knowledge of two or more technologies preferred
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
Good knowledge of SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) with focus in Demand, Inventory, S&OP and Control tower modules.
Minimum 5+ years working in inventory planning systems (APO, IBP, Manugistics, etc).
SQL knowledge a plus
HCI (Hana Cloud Integration) knowledge a plus
Knowledge of SAP ERP (ECC & S4) materials management module.
Experience in writing business cases for funding requests on a medium to large scale SAP projects
At least 1 full life cycle implementation using ASAP methodology
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
Proficient PC skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Good understanding and implementation of industry and SAP best practices
What Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.
Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.
