Department Overview

We are Team Marvel. We are an agile build/run engineering team that builds applications and systems for our independent pharmacy customers and the independent pharmacy business.

Role Overview

This is an engineering role on our build run, agile team. The role involves continuous support and feature work for our many different applications and systems that we own. We are a full agile team. We work in iterations, have daily stand ups, participate in iteration events (planning, retrospectives, show and tells, etc). We also utilize various agile tools such as paired programming, ATDD, and TDD. We are about continuous improvement and moving into a DevOps way of working.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required in an agile environment to achieve the company's business objectives.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
  • Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
  • Work with agile methodologies, agile processes, paired programming, continuous improvement and test driven development.
  • Contribute to the team development of agile methodologies and processes
  • Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
  • Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.
  • Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
  • Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.


Proven experience with the below technologies are a must:

  • .NET
  • C#
  • SQL
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

The following are a major plus but not required for consideration:

  • Experienced in agile methodologies including paired programming, ATDD, TDD and other agile processes that improve the overall quality.
  • Front-end skills and knowledgeable of server side/backend code, SOA
  • Practical exposure and/or experience with: jQuery, Angular 2 or AngularJS, AJAX, JSON,
  • Bootstrap, Unit Testing/Mocking experience
