What Materials Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Materials Management is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related major preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years related business experience in a medical device manufacturing environment, or similar highly regulated industry
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, inventory management, and contract management preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems, Cognog Spend Analyzer, Spend manager, Ariba, APM Agile, Emptoris systems, or similar systems and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
