SUMMARY: Manage and develop marketing activities for Cordis products, and set direction for future products. Lead corporate and product-level branding effort by driving the execution, timing and follow-up of marketing and communications strategies and tracking of campaign results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned on an individual basis:
Support activity for product launch plans, forecasts and marketing strategy
Gather customer requirements and support recommendations for existing and potential new products, as well as product enhancements
Interact with physicians, clinicians, sales force, and R&D staff regarding new products and product enhancements
Participate in R&D design process meetings
Develop sales training materials and tools for sales force
Participate in national and local tradeshow efforts including key messages, booth and promotional presence, major events, calendar, event logistics, and budget
Develop written content for customer focused communications.
Collect and analyze information on competitive product offerings, including features, pricing, and warranty parameters
Execute innovative marketing programs to drive revenue
Support sales of Cordis devices
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel on technical matters related to Interventional devices
Provide regular updates to management regarding project status, as well as other critical issues which affect the attainment of project completion dates
Attend and support company activities at relevant scientific and technical meetings and conferences
Complete accurate and timely marketing documentation
Develop and implement procedures, files, records, and follow-up systems to ensure marketing processes are managed in a well-organized and timely manner
May research, monitor, or prepare semi-routine reports or analyses, summarize findings, and make recommendations, to solve administrative problems
Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations
Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
5 - 8 years experience in related field, preferred.
3+ years related experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical field, including 1+ years in endovascular product marketing
Willing to travel 30 to 40%
Ability to work independently, using good judgment, initiative and analytical abilities, to accomplish short and long-range projects, anticipate likely needs, and recommend actions with minimal direction

Demonstrated ability to quickly ascertain technical aspects of product

Requires above average reading, verbal, and written communications skills; proficiency in business English and grammar; good arithmetic skills and attention to detail to maintain records and process reports
Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar preferred
