Job Title: Sr Analyst, Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Comprehensive ownership and efficient management of the purchase order life cycle (PO creation to receipt). Resolves failures throughout the lifecycle of the purchase order.
  • Creates daily purchase orders for assigned supplier portfolio and reviews order exceptions (ex. Large order quantities) consistent with stocking strategies
  • Manages supplier portfolio to key metrics (DIOH, service level, lead time, etc.).
  • Efficient demand forecasting and incorporates customer/market insights for Consumer
  • Maintain purchasing systems parameters for assigned supplier portfolio such as order minimums, order days, lead time, order cycle, etc.
  • Serve as the primary inventory contact for the supplier.
  • Collaborate/negotiate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders to manage issues, gather relevant data, review performance and drive improvements (ex. Advance Ship Notice and Purchase Orders via EDI).
  • Proactively analyze service failures to mitigate future issues which may include the placement of emergency purchase orders.
  • Managing the release of backordered products into the supply channel.
  • Assist in the execution of OTC launches, item replacements (UPC changes), new manufactures
  • Effectively manage manufacturer days inventory on hand (overstocked products, manual minimums, inventory order point adjustments)
  • Participate and/or leads projects and independently manage project milestones to completion to improve department workflow.
  • Create and maintain product availability messaging via manufacturer backorder reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree prefered, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
