Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.

Monitors warehouse productivity, adheres to budget requirements, works towards obtaining distribution center programs and coordinating all necessary repairs.
Recommends and implements programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization within the facility.
Responsible for the all aspects of the SLC Facility including building maintenance & transportation
Implements and administers all policies and procedures.
Ensures quality service is provided to the customers, ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand.
Handles general employee inquiries and resolves concerns.
Responsible for supervisory and employee population development, training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals.
Maintains positive employee relations.
Must be flexible with work schedule to be a visible leader and maximize employee interactions for a multi shift distribution operation.
Manager needs to have a presence on both shifts
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Advanced Degree an asset
6+ years’ experience developing and managing teams in Warehouse Operations environment
Ability to lead and manage a team of 30 team members
Receiving, Inventory, Shipping, Picking distribution experience preferred
Working knowledge of Six Sigma processes preferred (e.g. LSS Green Belt)
Must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphteria/Pertussis
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
This Operations Manager is responsible for both Days and Night Shift, and must be very flexible with working schedule to be present and available to both shifts as needed & when necessary.

I have been trained to load on the spurs, pick and handle floor stock. I have also run the command station and
served as the 3rd shift warehouse lead. I hope that my being able to do almost any position in the warehouse can
take some of the load off of someone else and make a difference for Cardinal Health members.
