Compensation is responsible for identifying, designing and recommending competitive compensation programs that attract and retain employees, driving performance and results, and providing rewards and recognition for individuals and teams.
Consults with HR and Business Leaders to develop and administer solutions for compensation-related issues. Participates in the development of short and long-term compensation strategies, plans and objectives to effectively address business needs.
Interprets internal and external market drivers to evaluate current compensation programs and recommends/implements changes to improve program effectiveness.
Applies incentive/reward theory and best practices in support of the development of programs.
Creates new and leverages current compensation tools/methodologies in the strategic design of compensation programs.
Consults on compensation programs for international locations including compensation structures, short and long term incentive programs, salary administration, etc.
Participates in merger and acquisition activities including reviewing current compensation programs of newly acquired companies and creating strategy for integrating newly acquired employees into Cardinal Health's current compensation programs.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements.
Plans, develops and maintains compensation programs for expatriates, and third country nationals.

Compensation Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the annual compensation planning process, day to day compensation administration and supports the businesses with compensation needs including assessment, reporting and consultative services.
Support Sales compensation education and design process
Manages the Annual Compensation Planning Process which includes merit increases, short term and long term incentive payouts.
Leads day to day compensation administration with strong team leadership and influencer skills
Liaison to all HR COE's as it relates to compensation planning and Workday changes
Completes data analytics and reporting as needed
Project manager for compensation team projects
Supports the sales business with compensation needs including assessment, reporting and consultative services
Compensation team COE as it relates to the Workday compensation module to include full engagement in the "Workday Community"
Accountable for the diagnosis, solution implementation and follow through on Workday related issues
Integration of acquired businesses to Cardinal Health’s compensation processes and programs.
Serve as a thought leader by sharing ideas and expertise on emerging compensation trends and changing regulations
Provide compensation support for international business clients and mergers/acquisitions
Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
8+ years of experience in related Compensation field, preferred
Experience in leading Compensation teams or functions, preferred
Certified Compensation Professional and Global Remuneration Professional certification, preferred
International and mergers/acquisitions compensation experience, preferred
