What Account Management - Dist contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Applies basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
  • Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
  • Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
  • Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments

Accountabilities

  • Owns the client relationship and acts as an escalation point for all programs, services, projects, and operational performance issues. Develops relationships between APS, IT, and the Client that fosters client partnership.
  • Interacts with clients and project sponsors, stakeholders and various project members to ensure that specific client and business needs are met during the life cycle of the program.
  • Follows projects through to completion to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Identifies opportunities with clients to improve efficiencies in processes. Collaborates with the client and key stakeholders to present opportunities that will increase the efficiencies in the program.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and key stakeholders through e-mail, phone, and in person.
  • Detail oriented individual that enjoys working in a changing environment with daily challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 0-2 years sales experience, preferred
  • Ability to travel
  • Valid driver's license
