Consult with project teams to understand their business objectives, distill intelligence needs down to actionable questions, create research plans to address those questions, develop reports and other deliverables based on findings, and effectively communicate those findings and implications to project stakeholders and leadership
Grow Fuse’s market research capacity through ongoing development of processes, partnerships, and practices
Foster creative approaches for working in tandem with user experience team members who are using ethnographic and other design research techniques to reveal hybrid insights across users and markets
Contribute to the development of overall research muscle for team members
Help estimate and work to a research budget for individual projects and for tools serving the overall process
Manage vendor partnerships to scale market research capacity as needed
Contribute to Fuse strategy through research projects and thought leadership work
5+ years relevant experience in innovation, market strategy, or marketing — business consulting experience a plus
Strong bias for action and creative problem solving
Bachelor’s or graduate degree (pref.) in related field, or equivalent work experience
Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize data to generate insights and recommendations via primary and secondary research methods and sources
Comfort leading nimble market / competitor research and market demand analysis
Though not required, the ideal candidate will have healthcare market experience and awareness of trends, regulations, and other challenges in the industry
Eagerness to learn the complexities of a highly complex ecosystem
Project management and organizational skills
High emotional intelligence to facilitate collaboration with colleagues at all levels and influencing without directly managing resources
Comfort with ambiguity and making progress without always having next steps clearly defined
An outstanding ability to communicate confidently and effectively across cross-functional teams
Comfort working in a collaborative and open workspace
