What Process Control & Maint contributes to Cardinal Health

Process Control and Maintenance sets up and operates processing equipment to manufacture to established quality standards in order to meet production demands. Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts maintenance on equipment. Writes and executes equipment qualifications on all new or modified tooling or equipment to test and qualify items and provide documented proof that operations are within established parameters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. This is a day shift position but may require overtime to include weekends.


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 year’s experience in injection molding.
  • Experience in “thin wall” molding is a plus. As well as stack molds and hot runner systems
  • Scientific molding experience, preferable RJG
  • Able to read part prints and perform basic measurements
  • Experienced with Husky, JSW and Van Dorn injection molding machines a plus
  • This is a day shift position but may require overtime to include weekends
  • Stand Up Fork Lift experience is required

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Perform setup and operation of plastic injection molding machines
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Maintain records
  • Set up auxiliary equipment
  • Set up equipment for secondary operations
  • Set up production work cells
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve injection molding, auxiliary, and secondary operations
  • Perform basic equipment repairs
  • Maintain and organize tools and equipment
  • Develop molding setup parameters for new tooling
  • Work productively and cooperatively with others while maintaining clear communications
  • Help train new personnel on injection molding machines
  • Perform PM’s on tools, including insert and core changes
  • This is a ”fast paced/hands on” position and will require the selected candidate to perform all functions, from mold set ups to processing
