Red Oak Sourcing Co, is a 50/50 joint venture between two Fortune 20 companies, Cardinal Health and CVS Health. Red Oak has sole responsibility for generic pharmaceutical sourcing for Cardinal Health and CVS Health’s retail division and pharmacy benefit manager - representing 85% of the pharmaceutical product volume of the two companies. The Red Oak IT team is responsible for all information applications, infrastructure, IT Security, and technologies used in Red Oak. This is a ‘hands on’ role across a number of systems and tools. This person will support the day to day activities involved in running an IT environment in a business setting and will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of IT in Red Oak.
Monitor and support the IT operational procedures for the Red Oak IT environment
Maintain various documents and Runbooks for IT operations and IT applications
Maintain and enhance various status reports for IT operations, IT audit and IT applications
Develop and execute IT operational checklists to monitor health and status of systems
Develop and implement processes to ensure continuous and stable operations
Run the periodic access review process and IT General Control reviews
Develop and document issue escalation procedures for Red Oak IT systems
Coordination and collaboration with various Red Oak teams as required
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
Perform hands-on tasks, including patching on Windows, Linux and laptops, planning, installing and implementing software upgrades, system backups, Active Directory maintenance and configuring systems and applications
Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved. Perform post-resolution follow-ups
Assist in QA, testing, and documentation of new releases within the platforms of responsibility
Stay abreast of application development trends to keep knowledge and skills current
Very technically competent with at least 4 years’ experience supporting IT systems within a complex, highly integrated environment
One or more of the following certifications required: CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certification; MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) MCITP Microsoft Certified IT Professional, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert); CCNA
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience
Has technical knowledge and practical experience in incident resolution and standard operating procedures
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Must have strong working knowledge across software and monitoring tools including:
Linux, Windows environments
Microsoft System Center
Hyper visor administration – Microsoft HyperV and VMware
Automation- including scripting, batch files, run books, powershell scripting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office365, Tableau Server, Varonis, Cisco UCM PBX, strongly preferred
Experience with Internet/Intranet technologies for applications deployment
Excellent time management skills and comfort with multi-tasking and reprioritizing, as needed
Effective problem solving and customer service skills
Excellent written, verbal and business partnering skills & experience applying them to both technical and non-technical audiences
