The Testing Center of Excellence supports quality control functions from a functional and a non-functional capacity. The team supports Cardinal Health as a whole. The Engineer, Quality Control will be responsible for but not limited to:
Accountable for functional testing efforts on Medium to Large projects across the Pharma business segment
Has strong client relationship management, planning, organization and leadership skills
Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to understand project objectives, requirements, design and landscape architecture to provide the most effective and efficient testing solutions
Provides leadership in the development of test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans
Constantly evaluates functional test strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement like opportunities for test automation, dynamic test data management methodologies, self-service reporting capabilities etc.
Drives continuous improvement of testing practices, adheres to best practices and processes and matures existing testing tools to support business needs
Leads transformation of testing practices to support Agile methodology
Drives innovation within TCoE to improve outcomes
Leads, guides and monitors the analysis, design, implementation and execution of test cases, test procedures and test suites
Responsible for Test Execution, Logging of Defects and reporting on test execution status
Drives discussions with appropriate teams to ensure availability of test environments and associated integrated systems to support functional and non-functional testing
Defines strategy for test data management for the project, working closely with other TCoE leads
Coordinates and automates metric collection and drives standardized test reporting within TCoE to provide necessary data to measure product quality
Has the ability to highlight and drive issues forward from identification through resolution
Mentors other resources within the team and provides administrative oversight
Manages testing artifacts to ensure proper reuse, versioning, backups, organization and retention
Makes performance and process improvement recommendations as needed
Promotes self-service on TSRs, drives TSR process improvements through lean, assists with training users on testing tools to improve self-service
Other duties and responsibilities as required
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
4+ years experience in related field preferred
Strong business Acumen in warehouse management processes required
Experience with Warehouse Management Software is required; experience with Manhattan Associates WMS (software) is required
Experience with Agile methodology is a plus
Experience leading / managing the delivery of automated testing solutions
Experience with HP/ALM for test management and defect tracking
Experience with Jira is a plus
Excellent data analytical and communication skills are required
Ability to build and enhance testing standards, policies, best practices, technical artifacts as required
Ability to train and mentor other analysts on the effective design and implementation of various testing frameworks as needed
People management skills to effectively build team relationships and deliverables
Knowledge of healthcare industry and associated trends is a plus

Ability to quickly learn and understanding of the goals and requirements of the businesses supported by technology solutions
Ability to contribute to, and balance delivery against, multiple projects/demands simultaneously
Demonstrated experience leading test team members both on and offshore

IT Quality Control is responsible for owning and implementing software testing and certification strategies for the enterprise.
Debugs problems with software through standard tests and recommends solutions.
Conducts defect trend analysis and continuous process improvement.
Demonstrates knowledge of requirement and risk based testing principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures
