Job Title: Director, Advanced Analytics

The Director, Advanced Analytics role will be responsible for the discovery, planning and execution of advanced analytics tools and capabilities. The colleague will be an analytics expert and responsible for driving collaboration across teams to deliver insights and tools to increase the speed and impact of analytics to all parts of our business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics can impact and accelerate results across the business.
  • Manage a core Advanced Analytics team and drive engagement and collaboration across key stakeholders to advance and improve analytics capabilities across the organization.
  • Drive adoption of a common operating system for deploying and leveraging advanced analytics across the business which includes measurement and performance tracking.
  • Ability to execute and coach data and advanced analytics work: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and deliver actionable recommendations and solutions.
  • Apply demonstrable statistical, data mining and advanced analytics knowledge and experience to identify opportunities and to test and validate business hypotheses.
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information to a variety of audiences and mediums.
  • Partners with stakeholders and technologists to implement/automate/operationalize models into day-to-day business decision making.


  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or other related field
  • 8+ years related data/analytics/data modeling experience
  • Expert-level experience in advanced analytics solutions
  • Strong project leadership and management skills required; ability to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks/demands simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communications skills required
  • Demonstrable statistical, mathematical, and business strategy skills
  • Experience with Big Data platforms and tools such as unstructured data, and text analytics.
  • Experience with relational, OLTP, SQL, dimensional and OLAP databases and technologies, business intelligence, data warehousing, and ETL database technologies and solutions
  • Experience leader of teams with high engagement and advancement.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity: thrives in developing new ideas and identifying growth opportunities
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and detail orientation.
  • Expert-level experience in one or more data science and visualization toolkits such as R, Python, SAS, Tableau.
  • Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred.
