The Learning Function is responsible for building organizational capability that supports business strategy and employee development by analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating learning solutions.

Instructional Design & Development is responsible for creating and implementing blended learning solutions.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, and measurement and evaluation methods.
  • Consults with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify performance needs and recommend solutions.
  • Uses instructional design methodology to design, develop and/or deliver blended learning solutions.
  • Evaluates and measures instructional solutions to gauge effectiveness.
  • Partners with external vendors to ensure programs/products meet requirements and objectives.
  • Uses e-learning authoring software programs to develop and deliver interactive training experiences.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions while partnering with members of the Learning Technologies Team to add, administer and maintain training in the learning management system.

Accountabilities:

  • Performs training department operations management activities that drive department efficiency; makes suggestions for continuous process improvements
  • Owns large complex global leadership and employee development (HR) training program management and administration
  • Assists team members in integrating newly merged or acquired global companies/employees into department processes and technologies and develop learning collateral for these newly acquired employees
  • Serves as the administrator for department document organization, storage, and publishing
  • Manages department projects using project management processes, templates and tools
  • Writes processes and procedures for the Enterprise Learning department; assists in globalizing department processes for locations outside of the US
  • Assists in creation and distribution of marketing and communication collateral for the Enterprise Learning department including ownership of department web and SharePoint pages
  • Owns management and administration of external learning vendor accounts
  • Assists in developing, capturing, analyzing and publishing department KPIs and metrics
  • Applies all phases of the instructional design process to create learning products including:
    • Planning
    • Analysis
    • Design
    • Development
    • Deployment/Instruction
    • Evaluation/Measurement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in related field, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex information
  • Experience managing large, complex, global projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required
  • Experience using the following software preferred:
    • Microsoft Project or equivalent
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Articulate Storyline
  • Experience performing a similar role in global, multinational company a plus
  • Experience with learning management systems preferred
  • Experience in cGMP regulated business environment preferred
