What Territory Sales Consultant contributes to Cardinal Health

Territory Sales Consultant/Level1 is responsible for acquiring and implementing new customers with a focus on acute and extended care facilities. Responsible for long-term relationship building with new and existing customers, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.

Accountabilities in this role

The Territory Sales Consultant/Level 1 is responsible for selling our complete portfolio of NPWT products. Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager or Director, the Territory Sales Consultant/Level1 is accountable for sales results within targeted (acute and post-acute) facilities. The Territory Sales Consultant/Level 1 is responsible for selling products based on our value proposition, features and benefits, and for driving market share growth in an assigned geographic territory.

The Territory Sales Consultant/Level 1 will be responsible for developing positive, collaborative relationships with clinical care providers and key buying influencers including WOCNs, Supply Chain/Purchasing Managers, Discharge Planners, Physicians and other clinicians within the continuum of care.

In addition to the sales functions of the assigned geography, the Territory Sales Consultant/Level 1 will perform multiple functions related to product readiness for patient utilization. The Territory Sales Consultant will provide delivery, removal and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; business degree preferred
  • 3 years of sales experience (or completion of the internal portion of the Sales Development Program/EMERGE program)
  • Medical or healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of healthcare facilities and how to communicate, influence, negotiate, and mediate effectively with various levels of healthcare facility staff
  • Ability to travel primarily within geographically assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license
