The facilities senior technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.


  • Responsibilities include maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Perform maintenance repairs on heating/cooling systems, back-up generators, refrigerators, gates/doors/railing systems, pumps, plumbing, security system, roof, storage racking systems, lighting, signage, emergency equipment.
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work with facility systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, purified water system and building repair.
  • Perform general building and grounds maintenance
  • Performs and documents equipment maintenance functions per applicable policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines
  • Comply with applicable Federal, State and Local Laws
  • Support EHS Policy and local EHS Plan
  • Participate in monthly EHS & Maintenance Steering Team meetings and training
  • Attend applicable off-site training
  • Conduct regular inspections of maintenance rooms, and tools and equipment used primarily
  • Perform Computer and Technical tasks
  • Maintenance functions (facilities or equipment)
  • Safely utilizes more complex tools/equipment to perform maintenance functions
  • Demonstrates understanding of metrology principles
  • Interfaces with/escorts external contractors
  • Takes actions to continually improve quality and safety in daily work. Actively participates in improving work processes to meet and exceed expectations. Identifies opportunities for improvement based on process observations, outcome measures, and feedback.
  • Reports errors in a timely and appropriate manner. Takes initiative and is accountable for areas of responsibility meeting regulatory requirements including but not limited to maintaining required trainings as appropriate to position requirements.
  • The ability to act calmly and patiently when working under pressure and/conditions of stress. Maintains integrity, composure, communicates with honesty, transparency, clarity and promotes alternative perspectives


  • High School Diploma/GED required, completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred
  • 3-8 years of facility maintenance experience/general contractor experience.
  • Preferable to have experience in pharmaceutical industry Quality Assurance environment supporting US FDA pharmaceutical products or cGMP environment.
  • Experience & comfortable using a computer to log work
  • Ability to manage timelines and priorities
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and maintenance work order system
  • Ability to hear, write (English), and speak (English) clearly in order to communicate in manufacturing setting - required.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task, a self-starter, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift 50 Ibs. Bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more required
  • Overtime work may be required

The primary work environment consists of a manufacturing facility for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition. Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards. The facility is operated under well-controlled and closely monitored conditions that are regulated by both State and Federal agencies, and that are enforced by the corporate internal quality and regulatory group. Each staff member will receive specific training in keeping radiation exposures within regulatory guidelines and he/she will be routinely monitored for their exposure to radiation. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
