What Employee Relations contributes to Cardinal Health
Employee Relations is responsible for providing advice and counsel to managers and employees on a wide variety of employee relations and management issues. Responsible for investigating Business Conduct Line complaints that are related to Employee Relations issues and for preparing responses to governmental agencies related to discrimination charges.
Uses Employee Relations knowledge and experience to provide advice and counsel.
Provides information and guidance regarding adherence to company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate.

Advice & Counsel Center Manager Helpline Support:
Advisors provide support to Managers via the Manager Hotline. They are responsible for handling incoming calls from all levels of management, HR, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or Employees with escalated issues.
Accountable for daily results, which includes: Manager helpline coverage during core hours of 7am to 8pm ET, adherence to internal and customer Service Level Agreement (SLA), adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), customer satisfaction, proper case documentation, complete staff work and meeting assigned goals and objectives.
Works with Director, Manager and/or Sr. Advisors or SMEs (i.e., Legal) on escalated issues and other matters as required.
Typical hours for this position will be 10am – 7pm or 11am – 8pm ET.
Leads and/or participates on special projects or enterprise initiatives.
Provides advice and counsel to employees on escalated or highly sensitive issues.
Works with peers to develop internal SLAs and assists in holding peers accountable.
Collaborates with other Centers of Expertise (COEs) to provide solutions as appropriate.
Identifies Employee Relations/Labor Relations trends and communicates to Director and/or Vice President, Employee Relations.
Bachelor’s in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4+ years of experience in related field, preferred, specifically in Employee Relations or HR Generalist roles with a focus in Employee Relations
2+ years working complex Employee Relations issues, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and other state and federal regulations
