What Account Management - Med Prod contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc.). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.


•Operate as the lead point of contact for all sales related activities specific to assigned customer base

•Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with small to moderate size accounts

•Negotiate pricing agreements and close business to maximize profits

•Develop, maintain and communicate pipeline of new business opportunities

•40/60 proactive selling/account management

•Exceed revenue goals and margin goals as established by the business


•Bachelors degree required

•Min 2 years sales experience

•Ability to travel 0-10% of the time

•Valid driver's license

•Strong communication skills

•Proficient with various computer systems, Microsoft Office

•Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
