What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health

This position is an inside sales/account manager role for major SPD accounts. It is an hourly position with a commission structure.

Inside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. The sales cycles will tend to be simple and short-term in nature and may or may not lead to a long term customer relationship. Can sometimes be viewed as cold calling, telesales.


  • High school diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • Min 2 years inside/outsides sales experience
  • Ability to travel less than 25% of time
  • Valid driver's license


  • Inbound order placement, including up/cross selling, outbound calls
  • Existing Portfolio loss, Product Inquiry calls, outbound calls
  • New Product Launches, Pricing Issue Management, Customer Reporting Requests
  • Analyze business to determine where there is slippage
  • Weekly on-call 3 to 4 time per year
  • Partnering with internal/external business partners to maximize business

  • Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity
  • Identifies possbile solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve

  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy
