Working Warehouse Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Manage the movement of all work in process inventory items as well as raw materials for the Crystal Lake plant. Oversee and positively motivate up to 25 material handlers that service the injection molding Containers production operation, the Recycler production operation, the raw materials warehouse, and operate the regrinding operation. Manage logistics associated with incoming raw materials and serves as back-up to the Material Handler position.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Good written communication skills

Accountabilities:

  • Ensures inventory transaction accuracy, receives all incoming materials, audits all transactions in BPCS.
  • Facilitates shift huddle meetings.
  • Responsible for initiating and conducting monthly warehouse cycle counts as well as shelf audits.
  • Coordinates activities for the site annual physical inventory.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area and reports any unsafe working conditions.
  • Ensures that Compliance Wire training for all employees is understood and completed on time.
  • Ensures product/lot control of all material resin delivered to resin silos. Serves as back-up to the Material Handler.
  • Lifts up to 50 lbs with repetitive movements, can stand/walk for up to 12 hours per shift, climb ladders and push/pull items.
  • Supports a team based environment by actively participating on teams.
