Strategic Sales Consultant- OptiFreight Logistics

What Business Development - Dist contributes to Cardinal Health 
Business Development is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. Responsible for maximizing customer value/satisfaction by aligning complex logistics solutions and strategic services with key customer initiatives. Builds relationships with key decision makers or potential influencers. Involves a longer sales cycle. This team has two openings.

Territory Geography: One Consultant will be responsible for sales in the Eastern part of the country (Southeast, Mid Atlantic, Northeast) and the other Consultant will be responsible for sales in the Western part of the country (Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Midwest).


What is expected of you and others at this level in Direct Sales for functional success 
•    Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
•    Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with Cardinal Health both pre- and post-sales
•    Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
•    Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
•    Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships


Accountabilities in this role
•    Assigned to a territory with primary responsibility of hunting for/closing OptiFreight® Strategic Services & Solutions opportunities in designated channels
•    Owns the pipeline for all OptiFreight® Strategic Services & Solutions sales within the assigned territory with responsibility for the “sales to contract” process for designated offerings
•    Review and actively influence deal profitability and contribute to pricing/financial strategy  
•    Work with Account Management and Value Enablement to support smooth customer transitions
•    Address needs of target customer base and articulate OptiFreight® Strategic Services & Solutions value proposition appropriately 
•    Understand customer requirements and internal/external factors influencing their needs 
•    Understand key stakeholders and how to coordinate customer contact points
•    Maintain momentum in pursuits / manage selling timeline
•    Negotiate terms and pricing within approved guidelines 
•    Coordinate effectively with all CAH sales counterparts, and other internal/external constituents


Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred
•    10+ years experience selling solutions and services into healthcare providers including to hospitals; Logistical solutions experience preferred
•    Understanding of logistical data & analytics relevant to the fundamentals of supply chain
•    Min 8 years healthcare sales experience
•    Ability to travel 50% of time
•    Proven knowledge and experience regarding healthcare financial operations
•    Proved successful matrix management experience and networking
•    Ability to identify key stakeholders and navigate a complex customer buying process
•    Demonstrated experience in driving successful outcomes in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
