Senior, Project Manager

Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking a Senior, Project Manager to join the PMO office for a permanent, full-time opening in our Canadian Head office in Vaughan, Ontario.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading critical business and technology projects.  The project manager will be accountable for these projects through all phases of the lifecycle including conception and initiation, definition and planning, execution, performance and control and project closing. He/She will also be responsible for planning, coordination, budgeting, execution, and project evaluation.  He/She will work very closely with the Director, PMO and will manage multiple projects at a given point in time, leading cross functional project teams, representing all parts of the business, to achieve project goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership and accountability of a project throughout its lifecycle from inception to closure.
  • Managing relationships with internal & external customers
  • Preparation of project documentation including project charters, project plans, work breakdown structure, estimates and related documents.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify scope and drive projects to successful completion
  • Creating and managing project plans with weekly progress updates to management
  • Creating and managing risk management plans
  • Preparation of project budget
  • Own the delivery of assigned projects on time and on budget
  • Project monitoring and communication
  • Manage Change control
  • Provide weekly status reports
  • Play a key role in implementation of Agile methodology and processes for technology and business projects
  • Play a key role in defining and implementing processes

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management, leading technology and business projects.
  • PMP certification, preferred.
  • PMI-ACP or Scrum Master Certification, preferred.
  •  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred.
  •  knowledge of MS Project is considered an asset.
  • Proven project management skills- ability to own and successfully execute a project from concept to completion.
  • Results oriented with strong problem solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Very strong presentation skills
  • Experience with release and change management
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in software development methodologies & release management.
  • Experience with Web Analytics is considered an asset.
