Reporting to: Sales Manager Spain

Key relationships                         

External: Hospital Procurement Departments, Healthcare Practitioners                     

Internal: Sales Manager, Sales Force, Key Account Manager, Marketing, Product Management

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Achieving Sales Plan
  • Search for tenders announced in your territory;
  • Work closely with sales manager on setting and agreeing objectives to ensure above is met
  • Maintain account plans, customer contact details, review territory plans on a frequent basis
  • Monitor daily sales and measure results
  • Monitor and enforce the performance of tender contracts in your territory;
  • Carry out and co-ordinate marketing campaigns in your territory;
  • Effectively allocate time among key customers
  • Watch and report on actions taken by competitors, in particular with respect to key customers;
  • Possess and improve knowledge about competitive products.
  • Regularly conduct training and seminars for customers (product users) with respect to product indications, contraindications and the manner of administration;
  • Participate in medical procedures with the use of Cardinal Health products as technical support for customers;
  • Participate in selected conferences/congresses, in order to provide service to the company’s promotion stand;
  • Be familiar with the existing and newly-launched medical products and procedures;
  • Be familiar with adequate specialist medical literature;
  • Apply professional and effective sales techniques leading to the sale of Cardinal Health products.
  • Make presentations with the use of all available instruments and aids that help to communicate features of a product and its benefits to customers;
  • Regularly facilitate customer education using in house training modules on products and simulator sessions 
  • Establish good internal working relationships with Marketing, Customer Services, Commercial Team, and work closely with them.
  • Manage and monitor consignment in line with Cardinal Health policy
  • Represent Cardina Health Spain Patient Recovery in a professional and ethical manner in all situations.

Qualifications and experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Languages: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required

Key requirements

  • Experience in a fast paced organization with a quick and pragmatic decisions approach
  • Minimum of one year experience as Sales Representative within the medical industry
  • Understanding local Health Care systems
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills
  • Ability to think out of the box and propose innovative solutions / approaches
  • Time management, efficiency, the ability to meet deadlines work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel
