What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilites

  • Responsible for the inventory setup in all areas of the warehouse.
  • Analyze and resolve all inventory related issues
  • Analyze and resolve product breakdowns to lower UOM’s
  • Setup of new items
  • Maintain the facility profiling philosophy of ensuring the inventory is setup in the most efficient manner.
  • Recommend modifications or innovative ideas to facility management team in order to improve operational performance
  • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required
  • 4+ years experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel and Access Databases
  • Good written communication skills 
  • Analytical Skills
  • Lean Experience
  • Industrial Engineer Degree desired
