What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health

 

Program/Project Management is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating programs that involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources as well as with the company's internal resources. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

Accountabilities

  • Lead key initiatives that create, enhance or optimize operational program processes, value streams and go-to-market capabilities.
  • Support large customer implementations and leverage experiences to drive enhancements to customer onboarding process 
  • Identify methods to improve support structure and make suggestions to manager
  • Key support for PD Collaboration initiative and integration
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership
  • Work with program stakeholders as necessary (sales teams, finance, DC, inventory management, pricing, contracting, customers, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Ability to take strategic goals from manager and develop project goals, timelines and metrics. Heavy execution focus is required
  • Experience leading initiatives involving multiple teams strongly preferred
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical business and supporting functions (pricing, finance, contracting, Operational Excellence, etc.) strongly preferred
