What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health

 

Program/Project Management is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating programs that involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources as well as with the company's internal resources. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

Accountabilities

The Labeling Project Manager (LPM) provides business value by managing projects and processes within the Product Labeling Team for Cardinal Health products across the Medical Segment. The LPM achieves this through project management, cross-functional teamwork, open and honest communication, functional expertise, and continuous improvement resulting in the timely release of labels for Cardinal Health products.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ability to work and communicate verbally and via email with cross-functional teams, managers, suppliers, and senior managers
  • Effectively communicate Cardinal Health labeling standards, understand regulatory and trademark requirements, and communicate appropriate needs to labeling stakeholders
  • Understands Cardinal Health labeling processes and how the process is captured in AMS
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of the Asset Management System (AMS) including:
    • Concept communication and review
    • System overview
    • Project routing
    • Approval routing
    • Phrase management
    • Functional support
  • Provides back-up and overflow coverage for the AMS Project Manager
  • Prioritizes projects and distribute to Labeling Senior Specialists
  • Provides support to Labeling Team by managing day-to-day issues, escalating as needed
  • Prepares and interprets business metrics for use by the Labeling Team, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Develops and implements plan of action for improving business metrics
  • Executes labeling projects as needed
  • Support and execute special projects as needed
  • Communicate labeling and labeling system concepts, while providing direction and guidance to peers and superiors as needed
  • Proactively identify potential project risks, identify solutions and execute flawlessly
  • Ability to support the labeling creative design process, understand print and production principles
  • Continuous improvement mind set and execute on improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years proven experience effectively managing projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Prior experience with system support desired
  • AMS or automated labeling system experience not required but preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
