Manager, SaaS / Dev Ops

Cardinal Health Inventory Management Solutions (CIMS) is a SaaS solution enabling healthcare providers and manufacturers to effectively manage supplies with market-leading innovative technology. CIMS leverages a portfolio of advanced hardware (e.g. RFID) and cloud-based software including an advanced analytics platform providing full visibility and control of all supplies from low cost commodities to high cost devices and implants. We are seeking high-energy, customer-focused team members to join the Cardinal Health team and lead the industry optimizing supply chain, inventory management and clinical workflow practices.


As Manager, SaaS/Dev Operations you will be building and leading a global team of motivated and highly skilled systems and DevOps engineers responsible for managing the production infrastructure of a real-time inventory management solution.  Job responsibilities include:

  • Establish best practices and create automated toolsets to perform build, deployment, and monitoring tasks
  • Automate application and performance monitoring to ensure real time exception based alerting
  • Drive operational excellence through process automation ensuring application and data integrity, reliability, and availability in production environments
  • Manage technical and business relationships for third party infrastructure and services vendors
  • Recruit and hire quality personnel who fit the organization culturally and enable the group to scale and meet industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the software development and quality assurance teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop, maintain, and test high availability systems, disaster recovery environments
  • Evaluation of new technologies to improve efficiency, performance, and scalability
  • Manage budget and purchases related to production environments
  • Provide leadership during production support events to reduce customer impact


  • 7 years of experience in a Cloud environment
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience managing technical teams (e.g. systems, database)
  • Proven technical skills in Linux, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle RAC, AWS
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, Puppet, Git, Jira, WLST and WLDF a plus
  • Experience with escalation management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize system processes and integrations
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply learnings
  • Demonstrated experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
