What Business Development - Med Dev contributes to Cardinal Health

Business Development is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. Responsible for maximizing customer value/satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives. Builds and maintains relationship with key decision makers or potential influencers. Involves a longer sales cycle.

Accountabilities

  • Capital instrument sales into Hospital Laboratories and Independent Reference Labs. 
  • Calling on all departments of the laboratory representing a broad portfolio of large diagnostic instruments and the associated reagent stream.
  • Requires the ability to manage without authority, as the position supports a team of sales representative and a region manager.
  • Working with various manufactures and being the technical expert on  instruments for Cardinal Health. 
  • Using CRM for forecasting accuracy,  pipeline development and maintenance. 
  • Job requires overnight travel to effectively manage the sales region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Min 4 years related sales experience, preferred
  • Ability to travel
  • Proven product knowledge in business area
  • Valid driver's license
