What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health

Inside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. The sales cycles will tend to be simple and short-term in nature and may or may not lead to a long term customer relationship. Can sometimes be viewed as cold calling, telesales.

  • The primary role of this position is to proactively develop business relationships and new opportunities selling pharmaceutical medications to manufacturers in various disease states for Clinical Trials 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Mininimum of 4 years related sales experience, preferred
  • Ability to travel less than 25% of time, preferred
  • Proven product knowledge in business area, preferred
  • Valid driver's license, preferred
  • Sales experience in Pharma, CRO, or Medical Devices sector preferred
  • Demonstrated experience of new businesses development and proven track record of sales target achievement
  • Excellent negotiation, planning and communication skills
  • Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated
  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Incumbent will demonstrate the necessary, self-motivation, attitude, confidence to work collaboratively, across functions, with other peers and support groups to deliver business results and solutions

  • Cold calling on new business opportunities and identifying aligned clients
  • Prepare customer proposals and budgets for new and existing business opportunities
  • Establish senior level relationships with Principal Investigators & Clinicians and leverage them to drive new sales
  • Supervise all customer orders are executed on time minimizing delays to customer
  • Liaise with the appropriate internal departments to ensure operations are running with no delays
