What Learning Technologies contributes to Cardinal Health

Learning Technologies is responsible for leading the definition and implementation of the learning technology strategy to support learning activities for internal and external customers. Maintains a validated, FDA-compliant learning management system and supports learning technology across the enterprise.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and advises on usage of learning technologies (including learning management systems), Cardinal Health desktop technical environment, authoring tools, and interfaces
  • stays abreast of trends for new technology
  • defines technical standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of learning methodologies to analyze, recommend, design and develop learning solutions and technology strategies to address performance, skill, and knowledge gaps and drive technical capabilities.
  • Implements and maintains a validated learning management system in compliance with FDA and Cardinal Health company policies and procedures through LMS governance and adherence to validation processes, audits, and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions.
  • Guides and supports LMS administrators, content owners and other users to analyze and resolve problems. Provides training strategy consultation, designs and develops learning solutions and communications, outlines remediation plans and conducts functional testing of courses and system.
  • Serves as the business liaison and manages external vendors to ensure outsourced programs/products meet internal requirements and objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Consults with internal clients to meet the learning management and technology needs of the business.
  • Collaborates with peers and clients to cultivate a best-in-class learning environment and infrastructure.
  • Recommends and implements simple solutions for complex organizational training requirements using the enterprise learning system.
  • Leads learning deployment and integration activities using the enterprise learning management system.
  • Collaborates with learning and technology teams to provide innovative solutions that drive results.
  • Provides agile responses to customer reporting and analytics needs. 
  • Provides high-touch, client-focused customer service.
  • Stays abreast of learning technologies including mobile device, virtual classrooms, portals, gamification and performance support tools to establish enterprise best practices.
  • Applies knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design processes and procedures when recommending client solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in related field, such as Training, Technology, Instructional Design, preferred
  • Experience with system validation for compliance with FDA CFR21 Part11, preferred
