Supporting CRE’s Director of M&A and International Portfolio, this role will provide critical leadership and support for due diligence and integration activities.  Through the continued collaboration within CRE, and Cardinal business and support units, the Consultant will drive critical financial and data analysis, knowledge sharing and decision making that aligns with Cardinal Health strategies and individual M&A requirements.  Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills along with a proactive, innovative, and creative mindset to meet partner and stakeholder needs is essential.  The position will serve in a consultative role across CRE, and thus must have knowledge of core CRE functions including Facility Management, Construction Project Management, Lease Administration, Transactions, and Portfolio Strategy and be able to align CRE’s activities to Cardinal’s business strategies.

Due to Cardinal’s international business portfolio, work activities outside of traditional business hours may be required.


  • Work in coordination with other departments, manage business intelligence and uses knowledge of business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems or opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need. 
  • Provide financial management skills including financial modeling, DCF and scenario analysis
  • Support international lease acquisitions, renewals and dispositions
  • Assist with project management for new construction
  • Maintains records and documentation of ongoing projects
  • Comfortable taking and providing direction in a challenging matrix environment
  • Assist with integration of newly acquired companies in cross functional team environment
  • Ability to influence others and drive change management across the organization
  • Demonstrate sound project management skills by promoting disciplined approach to stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and status reporting throughout integration activities
  • Independently interact with outside facility partners and real estate providers
  • Other job functions as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, preferably Real Estate
  • 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.  Real estate experience within a CRE department is preferred. 
  • Desire and ability to travel approximately 10% to meetings, facilities or locations, including overnight trips


  • Strong financial and business acumen with focus in commercial real estate
  • Ability to multitask and work in matrix environment

  • Ability to problem solve and establish clear priorities quickly
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
