Cordis provide products for Cardiology, Endovascular and Vascular markets through a combined sales team across the UK. Cordis are now back in the Drug Eluting Stent and Drug Coated Stent market, distributing LUMENO Alpha and LUMENO Free, whilst also having exclusive distribution rights for Kaneka PTCA Balloon range. Cordis are leaders in the field of Diagnostic Cardiology, with our catheters viewed as the ‘Gold Standard’ throughout the industry. In the Endovascular market, the main focus is market share gain in Cardio Access Products, Closure devices, PTA Balloons and Self Expanding Stents.

Vacancy

Based in Brussels, this is a leadership position to develop and execute the strategy for the Belgian business unit. Also to lead a team to over achieve Business Plan, with accountability for the local market. This person will be reporting to the General Manager, Cardinal Health UK/Ireland, Nordics and Benelux, they will have 6 direct reports.

Main Duties of Position:

The key objective of the role is to lead the Cordis Begium business through the creation & implementation of key strategies to deliver flawless sales execution.

  • To contribute to creating and implementing a sales strategy for Cordis ensuring that the plans deliver sustainable & profitable growth in excess of market place and competition;
  • To recruit, develop and retain an exceptionally high performing team, introduce robust and sustainable business/sales processes, coach a team to be recognised as benchmark across Cardinal Health in EMEA;
  • Build a culture of over achievement across Belgium by a ‘back to basics’ focused on maximising new product adoption whilst expanding core ‘Gold Standard’ products;
  • Continue to develop the Cordis and Cardinal brand focusing on strengthening customer relationships in both Cardio and Endo through hospital segmentation and prioritisation;
  • Develop and implement reward and recognition structures that drive a culture of ‘over achievement’ and deliver outstanding growth;
  • Coach and mentor the team to be highly successful through the use of a CRM system called SalesForce.com, a Cloud database;
  • Understand and act on agreed P&L responsibilities for the Cordis business;
  • Contribute to the future strategies of Cardinal and collaborate across Cardinal Health business as member of the Cordis European Leadership Team;
  • Through exceptional leadership style, foster a culture of ‘over achievement’, continuous improvement and transferring success models;
  • Build strong, effective relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, clinical Professional Groups, industry groups and national procurement bodies to drive growth;
  • Champion a customer centric culture within the organisation;
  • Be a leadership sponsor and role model for Cardinal Health Values;
  • Be a leadership sponsor for Healthcare Compliance, Safe Fleet and ensure adherence throughout the organisation;

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Significant experience in Medical Devices sales - vascular experience would be strongly preferred;
  • An outstanding track record of leadership, influencing, coaching to deliver results, coupled with a performance driven approach;
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a company with a start up and diverse mentality to achieve business results of an ever growing and changing product portfolio through acquisition and distribution agreements;
  • Patient and customer centric approach to all thinking and actions;
  • Exceptional leadership & coaching skills and a track record of talent development;
  • Ability to think strategically and foster a culture for continuous improvement;
  • Ability to see ‘big picture’ as well as the ‘attention to detail’;
  • Ability to build strong effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g. HR, Prof Ed, EMEA Marketing etc.) to deliver results;
  • Fluency in French and English -Dutch preferred
