Department Overview
Covering the full solution stack the Solution Security Architecture team develops and implements security strategies, provides security architecture/design services to solution teams, and publishes secure patterns and examples that provide guidance for secure solution implementation. 

Founded on a key principle “Build Security In”, the Solution Security Architecture team works closely with application, platform, and network teams to embed security into their build processes.

Role Overview

The Cloud Security Architect will support efforts to ensure information security is embedded into the design of projects and integrations.

Accountabilities

  • Engage in cloud migration projects to assist with the development of conceptual and logical designs that ensure security architectural patterns are adhered to.
  • Contribute to developing consistent security patterns and frameworks to evolve the company's information security architecture program.
  • Ensure adoption of industry and enterprise best practices around information security, partnering with the Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Information Security and Technology Risk Management teams.
  • Actively partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop supporting security designs and objectives that will enable Cardinal Health initiatives.
  • Evolve and manage key management processes, enabled through effective use of key  management tools. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cloud security engineering  (AWS, Azure, Google) is a must.
  • Strong technical experience with programming languages, AWS CLI, networking, and cloud security engineering.
  • Familiarity with information security standards and frameworks including ISO 27002, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, HIPAA, etc.
  • Industry-specific certifications preferred but not firm requirement (CISSP, AWS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with key management processes and tools a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field or industry experience equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, with a preferred concentration on Information Security
