Clinical Education and Training Development Specialist F-B-I

Brief summary of tasks &


  • Understands healthcare environment in strategic areas for Cordis Corporation and the cluster the person supports
  • Develops and implements ClinEd Strategy, that includes but is not limited to:
    - assessing the need for Clinical education aimed at increasing the number of focus procedures and improved patient outcomes
    - estimating the number & the level of interventionalists in each strategic specialty
  • Supports Global Sales Training by providing input on cluster strategy so that the content delivered is relevant to the manager’s cluster. Will also provide sales support for cluster sales reps prior to, occasionally during, and post training to insure that the rep is competent in understanding Cordis product and how to sell effectively. This role will be required to participate in the global sales training program when requested.
  • Develops a corresponding ClinEd Continuum (incl.: types of activities, infrastructure requirements, course objectives & clinical outcomes)
  • Develops standardized course content in collaboration with leading academicians, KOLs etc.

ClinEd Continuum execution:

  • ClinEd tactical plan development
  • Corresponding ClinEd budget calculation and alignment; its timely reconciliation
  • Participants’ selection criteria development
  • Identification and development of existing training centers/ educational infrastructures for the courses in strategic medical areas
  • Collaboration with cluster KOLs to ensure top Faculty & CoEs selection
  • Prepare required information, align didactic materials with the Faculty
  • ClinEd activities on site support (in ORs, at training centers, during the conferences and etc)
  • ClinEd activities follow-up system development & its implementation

Sales Learning & Development

  • Participation in development and periodically delivery of global sales training
  • Driving continued field education of all cluster commercial field personnel via multiple training mechanisms & vehicles

  • Leading the cluster development & deployment of training materials & programs to ensure maximum commercial success for our commercial business by:
  • Maximizing effectiveness of new Global Sales Training programs specific to the manager’s cluster
  • Driving cluster competitive account conversions via field training on rebuttals of competitive products

Efficient collaboration & synergy:

  • Ensures efficient collaboration, clear communication and structured processes with Marketing & Sales teams;
  • Liaises with local leaders to ensure clinical & financial synergy in ClinEd where applicable
  • Collaborates with EMEA ClinEd leader to ensure EMEA integration, visibility and efficient use of resources
  • Maintains relationships with key educational bodies and societies in relevant specialty areas in the cluster
  • Provides support for strategic functions: strategic ClinEd initiatives, Market development projects, Commercial Excellence

Process Management & Reporting:

  • Works within HCC guidelines to ensure all education activities are compliant
  • Knows and effectively deploys all processes and channels (educational grants, fee for service, sponsorship agreements and etc.) of ClinEd events organization, logistics & reporting
  • Prepares all necessary decks and reports in timely and diligent manner for internal & external meetings
  • Provides monthly updates to the BU leadership team
  • Coordinates the audit requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience (medical areas and/ or function )
  • Strategic thinking, results oriented
  • Proactive, responsible
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and multitasking
  • Fluent English, Spanish and French written & spoken is a must
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of time


  • Medical/ biomedical education is a plus
  • Cordis product knowledge is a plus
