Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking a Tenders & Proposals Analyst to work within the Contracts team in our head office in Vaughan.

The Tenders & Proposals Analyst acts as the first point of contact for all inquiries related to contract processes and support all tasks and functions relating to RFP management. This role will also provide in-depth focus on validity and legal review of the documents. He/She will manage multiple Tenders/RFPs submissions at a given point in time, leading cross functional teams, representing all parts of the business. The Tenders & Proposals Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the status of the submitted Tenders and once the results are announced, the Analyst will coordinate the activities between the customer and internal teams to sign the contract.

The primary goal of the Tenders & Proposals role is to deliver quality proposals within the customer defined deadlines and requirements to win the business for Cardinal Health Canada

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education preferred with a minimum of two years related experience
  • Previous tender experience required
  • Experience in Medical Industry is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment and be able to multitask
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • PC and systems knowledge (including MS Office and JDE)
  • Knowledge of Medical products and terminology
  • Report writing proficiency
  • Understanding of contract terminology and ability to analyse complex bid documents
  • Ability to manage priorities and to coordinate several project deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Ownership and accountability of Tender/RFP submission throughout its lifecycle from inception to closure

  • Monitoring designated bid sites to identify new opportunities
  • Planning, coordination and execution of all activities for the preparation of tender/RFP submissions for Cardinal Health Canada
  • Working with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, finance & customer service to collect, prepare and submit all requested product/service, pricing and incentive information to the customers
  • Ownership and accountability for the submission of quality proposals within the customer defined deadlines and win business for Cardinal Health Canada
  • Managing relationships with internal & external customers
  • Creating and managing project plans with weekly progress updates to management.
  • Monitoring status of the submitted tenders and RFPs
  • Coordinating all the activities between the customer and internal teams to sign the contract
  • Updating and maintaining the systems with all the relevant data for the awarded business
  • Creating and distribution of selected reports for the awarded business
  • Play a key role in defining, optimizing and implementing processes
