The Human Resources Generalist provides HR support in all of areas of Human Resources including but not limited to; recruitment, on boarding, health and safety, employee relations, performance management and Human Resources programs and policies. The Generalist will support Operations employees across Canada in both official languages.
Serves as a liaison between associates, management, and all other HR functions.
Participate and support various Human Resources administrative duties including but not limited to HRIS, employment equity, reporting, audits and the creation and maintenance of employee files;
Create on-boarding packages and deliver orientation programs to new hires;
Assist all employees on questions pertaining but not limited to HR programs and benefits.
Prepare written and verbal communication practices and policies, disciplinary actions and employment status changes.
Promote the rollout of Global HR initiatives.
Post-secondary education in human resources or a business discipline;
Bilingual English / French written and spoken
5 years’ experience in an HR function.
Experience dealing with hourly employees in a manufacturing / logistics or distribution environment would be an asset.
Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization while taking a customer service approach.
Sound business judgment and a proactive approach to problem solving;
Excellent time management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize diverse tasks within a fast-moving environment
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Experience using an HRIS or ERP system and good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
